Motor ECU driveshaft transmission radiator and hoses Instrument Cluster You will probably be replacing motor mounts and maybe tranny mounts with new. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-07-2012, 09:22 PM | #3 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | EWS module under dash behind glove compartment, EWS transponder chip inside of key, ECU. Power steering hoses, A/C lines(engine compartment), charcoal canister, catalytic converter, plus everything Steven mentioned. If you plan on relocating the battery to the rear, you should pull that whole positive cable and terminals out as well. Grab the plastic rad cover that sits just above the kidneys too, its different than ours. Did 95's use an alternator cooling duct? If so, grab that too, it connects to the rad cover. Front brake setup. IAT sensor and airbox (depending on your plans) I wouldn't worry so much about driveshaft and transmission personally unless your having issues with yours, that is unless the TU is a totally different beast than a norm m50. Ours will work fine. __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 01-08-2012, 12:38 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: North Bay, Northern California Posts: 251 | I heard the throttle cable also needs to be pulled? I like the ti dash. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-08-2012, 12:48 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Power steering lines. But then I came to my senses and realized that the ti dash reminds me that I'm not driving an ordinary e36. I like the e30ish cockpit feel. IMO, the ti offers a perfect balance of styling and performance between the e30 and e36. | | | 01-08-2012, 01:12 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 I totally agree. If I had a 'normal' E36 I might consider swapping in a ti dash. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! Its just 2 little black clips up top that kind of "claw" into the radiator and attach to the nose panel IIRC. I really can't remember how the m4x rad attached so can't say for sure if you even need them but you might as well grab them for spares if there the same. The other 2 "supports" are down on the frame rails on the sides of the rad. Something tells me you might only need one of them too but its been awhile since Ive done this! Also, when I said you don't need the transmission, if your manual and it has a better clutch, id grab that or keep it complete. If its an auto, you should probably keep it but I know zero about automatics, lol ps. +1 for Ti dash all day. __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti Last edited by Philly; 01-08-2012 at 06:51 AM. | | | 01-08-2012, 01:53 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Albany ny Posts: 64 | Im curious why the cluster Also? Get the sway bar and adjoining pieces out too. If you want cruise, pull all the electronic pieces for it. Module and actuator. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
