The E30 M3 was my very first BMW driving experience. When I first moved to Sicily, a very good friend of mine loaned me his for a whole month until I got a car. Up until that point, I never drove a BMW before or even thought about owning one. Needless to say, from that moment on, I was hooked.

Great place to drive one, the locals are crazy there. I was stationed at Comiso AFS for the closure. I travel thru Sigonella about 4 times a year. Have fun everytime.

My red one is nearly at 300K on an original engine.
I've heard that the engines usually need to be rebuilt the other side of 100k. What's been your experience?

Depends on level of abuse and maintenance performed to the car. They are very simple engines but on other hand parts are double to triple what standard BMW parts are because it's an M and is far out of production.

Fortunately BMW has kept parts inventory at a reasonably availability. The bad is you can no longer buy Evolution parts for your NA spec car.
