I had no idea there was a 318ti forum until this weekend! I can totally see why there is a dedicated forum, these cars are so fun and zippy to drive! I'm selling my white 1997 318ti 5 speed, 246k miles, with California Sun Roof. I am the 2nd owner. I bought it certified pre-owned. It’s been serviced regularly and has not been in any accidents. The power windows, power locks, cruise control and California Sun Roof all in working order. The interior is perfect, no rips or flaws in the seats front or back. One small tear in the lining by the hand brake and one crease in the trunk cover. The floor carpet is good. BMW mats. Lining is intact and firm. Paint looks good. Bodywork is in very good condition. The Pirelli tires still have plenty of wear. BMW stock radio/cassette player and BMW 6 CD player in working order. Earlier this year I put in a new starter, rear brakes, ignition key lock, and replaced driver side window regulator. A couple of years ago I replaced the passenger side window regulator. I have been the only driver of this car since owning it. I have always taken good care of it, and have driven it with care. There was absolutely no smoking in this car. Runs like a champ. A couple of issues you should be aware of: the heater stopped working last week (must be the coil as air still comes out), driver side rear speaker reverberates and a couple of the driver side door clips broke off last month. Includes original owner’s manual, service record book, BMW video and car cover. The car has always been garaged until recently when I had to move to place with no garage. I’ve included a few pictures, there are more pictures just ask. Please feel free to email me with questions too. $1,900 – OBO. Wifey would kill me... Cali roof though... Why are you selling it? Any interior pics? Is this an active with a M-tech front end, or a Sport with Cruise control? __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! But, a lot of cali-top cars are Active models. I wish it were mine! Did anyone catch the Zippy reference? Just thought it would look alittle more 'sporty' so I changed it several years ago. I'm selling it cuz I've moved out to the 'country' and just about to get a real horse and will need to all haul around so needed a bigger vechicle. Now with no garage, this fine pony needs to be stabled too and I can't do it where I'm currently at and I'm going to be here a while. I love the cali roof...nothin' like driving up highway 1 with the roof open, blue sky, fresh ocean air or a warm summer afternoon cruzin' down the local wine trail country roads. Fun, fun, fun! Yes, I have more pictures...it took they took a real long time to load. I'll do my best for now, if not I'll have to make some adjustments and post them tomorrow. Anybody got any tips on how to reduce the jpeg size on a mac? (iphoto). I'm not sure if I understand the references regarding the 'sport cruise control' or active models can someone explain the differences to me. As far as I always known it's a 318ti with a california roof, power locks, windows, cruise control, etc. No notations regarding sport or active this model is mentioned in the manual. | | | 01-18-2013, 09:02 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Try using Photobucket and link from there. Seems to work well with this and other forums. There was a base 318ti and two optional packages, Active and Sport. The base was the bare bones model, that you could add options onto. The Sport package had the M Tech body trim (after 1995), sport seats, firmer suspension, 5 speed, leather trim, fog lamps, alloy wheels. The Active package had as standard cruise control, sunroof, OBC, leather steering wheel, nice interior, alarm, flux capacitor. There are probably additional items in each package i'm not remembering on the top of my head, Welcome to this forum, BTW! __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org!
