Anyone in the Portland area? | | | 01-24-2017, 07:30 PM | #65 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2017 Location: Portland, Or Posts: 2 | I just signed up because my wife just bought a 1996 318ti earlier this week. I've done a bunch of searches on here and most of my questions have been answered but it's great that there's a place dedicated just to this niche car. It is a fun little car and we've had a blast with it so far. | | | 01-25-2017, 06:18 PM | #66 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Portland, OR Posts: 159 | Quote: Originally Posted by G0to60 I just signed up because my wife just bought a 1996 318ti earlier this week. I'm not a mechanic but have been able to accomplish most the regular maintenance with these cars, I'm on my third 318. Currently also have a 96 ti | | | 01-25-2017, 08:46 PM | #67 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2017 Location: Portland, Or Posts: 2 | Quote: Originally Posted by cjm1219 Welcome! I'm not a mechanic either but I have old VW's so I'm kind of forced to do my own work if I want to drive them. | | | 07-26-2017, 01:03 AM | #68 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2017 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 14 | New Seattle Cali top owner sounding off Hi, all. I'm a new TI owner in Seattle with a '96 California edition. Towed mine home from a seller in Aberdeen with a blown head gasket and busted water pipes. Rebuilt the cooling system in a weekend and have been restoring it bit by bit ever since. Since bring it back to life, I've done a full interior swap from grey to black, put in an e36 m-sport steering wheel and retrofit a set of power sport seats from an e46 M3. | | | 07-28-2017, 01:36 AM | #69 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2015 Location: Seattle Posts: 5 | New to the forum had my ti for 2 years now in bonney lake and love it | | | 02-25-2020, 09:10 AM | #70 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2020 Location: Portland, Ore. Mostly an E30 guy, but the E36 Compact is pretty rad. | | | 02-18-2023, 07:59 PM | #71 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2022 Location: Renton, WA Posts: 5 | This site is pretty slow, eh? I'm in Renton and I'm doing an M54 swap on the ti I picked up about a year ago. Anyone local need a good running M42 with about 120k miles? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
