It's a great car that puts a smile on my face every time I use it and it was cheap to buy. Couldn't ask for more for the money really! | Im glad to hear that your ti is worth the money you paid no question. Also looks really good and well maintained. Also your panels look factory.. little bit jelaous because mine was involved in several light crashes unfortunatelly, and the really bad thing is none of the accidents was ti's driver fault.. ah Quote: Originally Posted by jsteve Lately I've been thinking about getting a new BMW and have been considering an i3. Since you are fixing your ti and you love it it may be good idea to revisit that idea in a few years when i3 might be cheaper and your car ready to be replaced. (just my opinion if you were alredy considering an i3) Hope im not too late with this response | | | 01-02-2018, 07:33 AM | #319 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2018 Location: Murfreesboro Posts: 5 | i am new here, have just received a 1996 318ti base i assume with 140k on odo from my uncle who passed recently. this is my second bmw. first was a 1991 318is (loved this car) i have just purchased a godspeed coilover suspension set for the ti and will sort out a m52 swap in the near future. | | | 01-05-2018, 04:04 PM | #320 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Welcome Randy! Suspension was supposed to be here on the 3rd but was delayed due to weather up north, so I won't be installing it this weekend. But I will be replacing a window regulator, oil change, filter etc... As well as double checking all other suspension and steering components to see what else I should swap out. Won an eBay auction for a cast iron. M52b28 just a bit ago as well. Got it super cheap. Does have a cracked head, hope block is ok... Will hopefully pick up this weekend as well. | | | 08-16-2018, 02:31 AM | #322 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2018 Location: Indiana Posts: 3 | 95 Boston green base slicctop has a m44 for some reason? Lots of little fiddley broken clips and retainers to replace - will probably end up costing as much as the car. Well worth it though, in the end. | | | 11-18-2018, 01:51 PM | #325 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2018 Location: The Rotten Apple Posts: 9 | '98 Avus blue, Active 5spd 65k on the clock. I know there was very few of these in the US but I was wondering how many where sold overseas. I also have the original dealers brochure for the clubsport that came with the car. I am starting a YouTube channel and will be focused around this car so please check it out. The channel is called Ninety-One Octane. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 11 (0 members and 11 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
