Those are damn interesting. Oh, and been viewing here for a short bit so far, love it! | | | 12-13-2006, 06:22 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Yeah, I bought my report for $25 and it gives you unlimited searches for one month. $20 would have bought a one time search only. I bought my car just recently and now when you do a VIN check on my car, it shows that I've owned it for 7 days. Carfax isn't 100% though. If a car got into an accident and both parties decided not to call the police and report it, then it won't be in there. | | | 12-13-2006, 06:31 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Richland, WA Posts: 17 | Quote: Originally Posted by Ji Money Carfax isn't 100% though. So if someone ran their car into a ditch, no police report, then had it repaired at an honest, up-and-up body shop, that wouldn't show up as long as it didn't get totalled? Even if the insurance company knew about it? __________________ Z ---- Critter, 1989 Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo Beast, 1971 Dodge Coronet station wagon Starting to look for a 318ti... | | | 12-13-2006, 02:06 PM | #8 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Go to the " About Us" page on the Carfax site. There's a link to a table of their information sources. JMJ __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH!
