And my new trans mounts I'm trying, they made it to st. Louis in 5 days from Poland. | | | 04-05-2018, 04:32 AM | #152 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | Is that with the m3 springs on? Also pretty cool trans mounts. I drove it to work today and hopefully it gets warm enough to do some test hits at lunch. | | | 04-06-2018, 10:14 PM | #154 | Member Join Date: Nov 2015 Location: missouri Posts: 99 | Pic of the hot wheels car | | | 04-07-2018, 01:18 AM | #155 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | I like the stance. Are those stock e46 M3 spring? I save a bunch of weird parts that people don't want when they do upgrades. Also good exhaust parts, especially if its has nice mandrel bends. I don't know if you can see it in any of the pictures but the 2 pipes that come around my axles and diff are from a stock 335i muffler. They were nice 2.5in pipes that were mandrel bent Into an S shape, so I cut off the muffler and had them laying around. I wish that show junkyard wars was still around, I think I'd do well. | | | 04-14-2018, 03:34 AM | #157 | Member Join Date: Nov 2015 Location: missouri Posts: 99 | Broke the driveshaft first launch at the track. Time to explore other options. | | | 04-14-2018, 04:54 PM | #158 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | The Driveshaft shop should be able to help. In CF options as well. Anyway, here's the video and pictures of the carnage https://youtu.be/SQ5HeglYkhs | | | 04-21-2018, 11:15 PM | #161 | Member Join Date: Nov 2015 Location: missouri Posts: 99 | I'm waiting on the new driveshaft but I have most of my new ECU stuff. Haltech 1500, HPI4 ignition, flex fuel sensor, multi fuel 1200cc injectors and twin 340lph fuel pumps. Also in light of the driveshaft breakage, I ordered a trans blanket and engine blanket, just in case, oh and a fire suit. They have me some flack about it at the track. | | | 04-22-2018, 03:56 PM | #162 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | Nikki seems extremely fast. Which driveshaft did you go with? I'm interested in how the standalone goes as I want to do that with mine. | | | 04-23-2018, 04:38 PM | #163 | Member Join Date: Nov 2015 Location: missouri Posts: 99 | https://youtu.be/wevyyfI9HEE Video of yesterday's autocross event. I'm going with the chrome moly shaft from the driveshaft shop. Not sure when I'll start the ECU change, still need a few parts for the fuel system. | | | 05-11-2018, 03:33 PM | #164 | Member Join Date: Nov 2015 Location: missouri Posts: 99 | Ended up ordering the carbon fiber driveshaft, the shaft is too long to use chrome moly for the power and speed I'm going for. Downside is, it's the peak of racing season and there is a 5-7 week wait time. So I'm going to go ahead and start the process of installing the new ECU and fuel system. | | | 05-11-2018, 03:48 PM | #165 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: US Posts: 315 | Dang that wait time isn't fun. Is it a one piece shaft? Nothing a local company could quick fab up just to get the car out? I know local friend gets his single piece e36 swap driveshafts made locally for around $150 each. Usually for LS swaps. The CF one will be very cool. Even less rotating weight. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 2 (0 members and 2 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
