I was planning on replacing the e90 330i then anyway. I wonder what ED prices will be on it. I did an ED on my e90 the 1st week they were available for US consumption back in April 2005. For those of you thinking about the 1er, seriously consider EDing it. Easily one of the best vacations of my life. __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 07-03-2007, 01:09 PM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 402 | Whoa! Those brakes are HUGE. Also, just caught that line about 6 piston front brakes, and 2 piston rears! Look at the size of that front caliper in this pic: __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 07-03-2007, 02:52 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | I know the 1 series will be a winner in the US with all these engine options available. I've read in some mags that the 135I (M1 in our hearts) will be mid 30K. Can't wait to see the faces on the 335i and older M3 owners when we blow by them. | | | 07-03-2007, 03:09 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT Honestly I didn't care for the hatch when I was in Europe. Ours have a little tiny one that makes it look good. | | | 07-03-2007, 03:11 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT I want to see a crash video of a Smart versus an Escalade. I know it's cheaper to wait a year and pick up a CPO, but that vacation would be a hoot. | | | 07-03-2007, 04:13 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Detroit, MI Posts: 585 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Yeah, search Top Gear Smart crash. | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju6t-yyoU8s Anyone want to try this with a ti? | | | 07-03-2007, 04:21 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 402 | Quote: Originally Posted by bullmand The European Delivery is the only reason I would ever buy a brand new BMW again. It was my 11th time to visit my relatives in Germany (plus, we added Spain to our itinerary), but one of my most memorable. Sorry for going OT. That Smart gets manged. Few people would survive the crash depicted in that youtube vid. __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 07-03-2007, 04:34 PM | #25 | doesn't care about you. I'd hit it. I guess I'll join the list of people here with deposits at their dealer. I know the EPA for the 335i is 19city/29highway <-- I don't believe that. Hopefully it will be mid to low 20's. | | | 07-03-2007, 11:48 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Fl...tampa area Posts: 320 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT Honestly I didn't care for the hatch when I was in Europe. Googling suggests 1500-1600kg(3300-3500lbs Oink! Oink!) for the 135i. http://www.google.com/search?q=bmw+1...en&sourceid=gd The 0-60 of 5.3 is slower than the M-Coupe, and the 135 is heavier, and a nice used M-Coupe can be had for about half the $35k price. I'm having trouble getting as excited as some of you seem to be. 1 CSL anyone? Something around, say, 2730 lbs? Bueller? Bueller? BMW NA? | | | 07-04-2007, 12:38 AM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 402 | Quote: Originally Posted by Den 1 CSL anyone? Something around, say, 2730 lbs? Bueller? I am definitely going with a locker on this one. The e46 LSD can be had for about $1800, where the e90 ones are more in the $4k range. How bout a retrofit of the Cali Roof on the 1er? __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
