I wont be able to buy a parts car due to the fact by the end of the day, ill have 3 cars, 2 of which are stuff in my moms garage, and then my crx daily beater. I want to get rid of the jetta, but it can totally be fixed and resold but i dont have the time, or will power to work on it in its current state. Im able to get everything i need for the swap from these guys down in alabama for about 2k shipped with 88k on it to a local shop, then theres another source where i can get it all for 1500 shipped minus the accessories with 61k on it. Hopefully ill find th best deal in the end. I plan to have it running by september/october and cruising around without a problem. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-15-2007, 03:45 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | Quote: Originally Posted by Variance If it gets trashed before I get a price, I'll strangle you. We picked up a 95' 525 M50 engine for $1,000.00 and the engine is running strong!!! Let me know and I will get you thei phone number, they only specialize in BMWs. | | | 07-15-2007, 07:51 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | The thing im worried about is shipping. I dont want to be paying hundreds in shipping costs, but sure, ill take the number and give them a shout. Maybe i can pink up a M52TU28 with the aluminum block. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-15-2007, 09:30 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: UK Posts: 197 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti A 2.8 is a ball on the track. Maybe someone wants it to fix, or ill just trash it when i send the jetta to the junker. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-16-2007, 05:25 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | I thought the supersprint required an adapter pipe, does your have one? http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exe...earch_model/52 I might be interested in it if you plan on just tossing the whole shabang. Even though an exhaust is far in my future :/ __________________ BMWCCA #403399 2012 Mini Cooper S Clubman, 6-Speed Loaded 2001 325xi, Winter Package, 5-Speed Traded 1998 318ti, Active, Automatic, TOTAL LOSS R.I.P. 10/20/08 Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts . I can check for you though. I didnt purchase the exhaust, the PO did, so i dont know too much about it except that the muffler is a bit on the rusty/degraded side. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 07-16-2007, 06:53 AM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Melbourne, Fl/Athens, AL Posts: 393 | ATF, the Supersprint that he has is the NLA model that was specifically for the ti. The one BMP now carries is a universal for the ti and Z3 1.9, differing only in which adapter pipe is used. __________________ -Kenny | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
