My back still hurts from laying in the floor boards tracing wires. You'll understand when you put it in the ti. My only advice to you right now is to pass the wires individually through the fuse box. You'll be tempted to do at least two at a time, but it just sucks enough not to work. Wiring diagrams are invaluable for this project. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 02-09-2008, 05:40 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | haha, yeah, my back does not hurt at all because i was sitting in the seats doing it. lol but i know what you mean, i had to run wires in a e32 750il under the dash because a brain shorted and ate up some wires, not too fun. and thanks for the tip on the running of wires, i actually said to myself, hmm i wonder if i could fit two through at a time, right before i looked at your post. lol __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 02-10-2008, 01:00 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | hahah well looks like you are about to head to the hard part of this swap! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-10-2008, 01:03 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | wow, I'm really glad I have cruise already in my car, I know that I would screw up a project like that | | | 02-10-2008, 01:21 AM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | i use a stick.... i shove it in between my seat and the gas pedal and then scoot my chair either forward or back to speed up..... jk jk i have cc __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-10-2008, 01:23 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget i use a stick.... i shove it in between my seat and the gas pedal and then scoot my chair either forward or back to speed up..... jk jk i have cc | rofl dude, patent that sh*t | | | 02-10-2008, 01:28 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | haha i should. lol i can also use the leg extender for fine tuning if you have sport seats like me __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-10-2008, 05:10 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | well, in my opinion installing is easier, because i know tons about electronics, and tracing down all the wires and removing them from various harnesses was allot harder than just running them independently of the harnesses. oh, and id buy your cruise control kit, its easier to install then mine, lol. __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 02-10-2008, 07:06 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | hahaha well if you buy your own wood and cut it to the proper size i'll let you without any fee. __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
