Maybe with the instant auto downsizing occuring in the US, BMW NA will have the sense to bring in the 1 hatchback. | | | 06-14-2008, 04:04 PM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | Wait, Steven, are you saying BMW NA wants the 1er hatch, but BMW AG still owns Mini so they don't want it cutting their sales? I saw it a few years ago when I was in Dubai. That was before I fell in love with bimmers. I searched for it state side and was disappointed that they didn't bring it here. Hopfully they get there sh*t straight and bring it on over. They need to recognize the growing demand for hatches. We are going to be replacing our SUV with a Mazda 3 hatch in the next few months. I would gladly rather have a 135ti __________________ No trunk for the Junk | | | 06-14-2008, 08:15 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Omaha, NE Posts: 737 | Quote: Originally Posted by elfhearse I was in Germany in 2005 and the hatchback was the only 1 series I saw. | Could be wrong (I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am), but I think the hatchback was the only body style available until they decided to bring the 1er to the US, and started designing the coupe and convertible. I know I never saw pics online of the coupe or 'vert until I heard about it coming to this side of the pond. I was thinking around 23,000 euros brand new. | | | 05-28-2009, 04:20 AM | #42 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: hawaii Posts: 44 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bozola You'd be happy with a 128 Hatch.... believe me. | That is quite true, but it's kind of a futile argument. Patty, I don't have a direct answer. I saw a 123 or 128 or whatever it was diesel hatch on euro ebay with about 9000 miles for about 17000 euro. It was pretty. I have no idea what it would be like to try to import it personally, though. | | | 06-23-2009, 01:09 AM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 229 | i think you can rent a container for around $3000 but i dont know any details. and you guys are talking about 30+mpg on the 318ti and 1 series but i get around and more likely less than 25mpg on my ti.. idk why.. any ideas? | | | 06-23-2009, 01:48 AM | #44 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | I have seen 35+mpg on my 318ti.. and I run wide and sticky rubber | | | 06-24-2009, 04:46 AM | #45 | Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: hawaii Posts: 44 | Quote: Originally Posted by nakadian i think you can rent a container for around $3000 but i dont know any details. and you guys are talking about 30+mpg on the 318ti and 1 series but i get around and more likely less than 25mpg on my ti.. idk why.. any ideas? | I know this is the wrong thread, but I have no idea what the problem is. If I did, I would fix it with my own car. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
