Magnaflow cat and a resonator back to a Magnaflow muffler. Got under the car and took a pic of the exhaust all hooked up. Decided to get change the oil. Going to put in the Amsoil Euro 5w40 so I ran some Amsoil engine flush through it first. Not that the engine was dirty, but I like to flush an engine when switching to a new oil. Going to let it drain overnight. Two Bimmers in a garage. The check engine light is on for some reason. Going to have to check the connections to the O2 sensor. I might swap the stock one back in to see if the light goes off. It's not the easiest ECU to take out or apart. Most E36's have the battery mounted in the trunk. On this one, because it is a hatchback, the battery is mounted right in front of the ECU compartment. Makes it a pain to take out. Not bad, considering she got a quote of $2400 to just fix the old 4 cyl tranny. The final total may be a little more, but not more than a couple hundred bucks or so.
