I left out the following features in my last post: 15" alloy wheels, leather steering wheel and shift knob, on-board computer, remote keyless entry system and alarm, one-touch windows But the active still doesn't explain the heated seats... it's so confusing __________________ --------------------------------------- '97 Hellrot 318ti - Active, 5 speed 17'' BMW Motorsport Wheels ACS-"Style" (E-Bay, haha) Racing Pedals M Frontspoiler (OEM) Alpine CDA 9827 MP3/CD Head Unit Alpine E12 Subwoofer (now stolen) Audiobahn A4002T Amp (also now stolen) Dented driver side fender (provided courtesy of blind 80 year old woman) Keyed passenger door (provided by someone who likes to key red cars) Soon to come (now that I've graduated and have a real job) S52 Engine Swap!!! And it's Sienna Red. | | | 04-28-2005, 07:02 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by peterw ...I think. Club Sports are only Jet Black or Bright Red. Oh wait, I stand corrected, I thought we were talking US. I don't believe the UK had a Club Sport. They did have some other models that the US did not have. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 04-28-2005, 08:03 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Garden City, NY/Daytona Beach, FL Posts: 228 | Quote: Originally Posted by Macp I am in the Uk and the specs maybe different to the US.Dont think mine is a sport I think it is a 318Ti with sport package. Its a 97 or 98 not sure .Colour is Montreal Blue Mtec sports seats Mtec suspension Sports steering wheel AC & elec sunroof Body coloured bumpers & skirts Foglights Centre armrest Rear headrests Wheels are alloys and original BMW fitment for year, hard to describe not 5 spoke but rather like minilites. Also, I fail to see the distinction you are trying to make between Sport/Sport Package, it's the same thing. __________________ --------------------------------------- '97 Hellrot 318ti - Active, 5 speed 17'' BMW Motorsport Wheels ACS-"Style" (E-Bay, haha) Racing Pedals M Frontspoiler (OEM) Alpine CDA 9827 MP3/CD Head Unit Alpine E12 Subwoofer (now stolen) Audiobahn A4002T Amp (also now stolen) Dented driver side fender (provided courtesy of blind 80 year old woman) Keyed passenger door (provided by someone who likes to key red cars) Soon to come (now that I've graduated and have a real job) S52 Engine Swap!!! Actives had cruise, alarm and your wheels standard. The base had steel wheels with hubcaps. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-21-2005, 04:46 AM | #41 | Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Ohio Posts: 39 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti An Active is a step up from the base model. I have had it for 3 years, and it only had one owner before me, and I guess he was an older man. I only know that because it still gets serviced at the original BMW dealership where it was bought new. But it's such a great car! | | | 05-21-2005, 07:17 AM | #42 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Posts: 22 | I think I might have a sport. You let me know I have: -sunroof -foglights -cruise control -cloth seats -16 inch rims (10 spoke if that matters) Im new to this car and am the second owner and would like to know as much as possible about these cars. | | | 05-21-2005, 11:57 AM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | If your car is 96-99 and has the wide M-Technic moulding on the side, it is most likely a Sport. Foglights were standard but cruise was optional. The Sport had 5 spoke wheels though. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-21-2005, 12:50 PM | #44 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | you need a selection for california package in the poll __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 05-21-2005, 01:22 PM | #45 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I had a California Roof until I wrecked it.
