Driving to working minding my own business and up comes a STI and he starts holding my pace (speed limit). We catch a red light and the road is clear, I look over and he gives a little rev... It's on...Light turns green and he gets me by 3 cars right away. I'm through 1st in less then 1.5 seconds @10psi and hit scramble right when I shift second. Bam there is a slight continuous tire spin as I pull quickly up side of the WRX and start to pass @ 16.3psi. I bang 3rd and he is now falling behind quick so I let off. Next light we exchange a thumbs up. Nothing like the feeling of a big dump of adrenaline, now I need a nap as I'm coming down WRX's always gave me trouble but not anymore and this was a nice one | | | 09-04-2009, 03:12 PM | #455 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | Quote: Originally Posted by xxxJohnBoyxxx Here is a little story about the turbo 318 -vs- some Subaru WRX STI. I'm having issues now with frame flex. My carbon Fibre sunroof is making cracking noises during heavy boost and the car is twisting and pulling to the right. | | | 09-04-2009, 05:47 PM | #460 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Oceanside, CA Posts: 421 | Good to see everything is back working fine!!!! __________________ 2003 Z4 2.5i 2002 Ducati Monster S4 | | | 09-04-2009, 05:50 PM | #461 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Europe Posts: 136 | Quote: Originally Posted by xxxJohnBoyxxx I'm having issues now with frame flex. Storng Strutt makes a trilogy kit that might inspire you: on the Z3 it works very well. The plastic around the rollbar has the tendency to creack when going over bumps sideway. This solves the problem. Link However check the rear subframe and make sure your not ripping it off the chassis... __________________ 2003 Z4 2.5i 2002 Ducati Monster S4 | | | 09-04-2009, 09:58 PM | #463 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | time to get a full roll cage 8 points or more and foam the chassis, that would help with the chassis twist __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 09-04-2009, 10:01 PM | #464 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: Oceanside, CA Posts: 421 | Quote: Originally Posted by Jean H.318TI foam the chassis | What is it? __________________ 2003 Z4 2.5i 2002 Ducati Monster S4 | | | 09-04-2009, 10:05 PM | #465 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by lpcapital What is it? | I think I remember seeing this before.
