But I'll be honest, the 95 is lookin better and better everyday The '97 needs ball joints, tie rods and tires, but I don't want to put anymore miles on the 95. It has 174.5k miles and I would like to sell it before it goes over 175k. I've put just under 500 miles on it since the clutch job, so I'm pretty confident that everythings worked out and it's good to go for the next owner. All that's left is to paint the rear bumper and mirrors, then I'll go over it with a claybar, wax and interior steam cleaning. Chances are I'll only be taking the 95 to Bimmerfest, the 97 will have to sit it out this year __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 04-24-2008, 07:25 AM | #47 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Westfield, IN Posts: 1,335 | damn that sucks. but hey good luck with the sell!! __________________ Greg M42 Club member 186 WTB: HELLROT RED CLUB SPORT 95 ti sold but staying in the family. | | | 04-24-2008, 07:30 AM | #48 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | No way jess you will debut the 95 CS at Bimmerfest to sell it. Hope it goes to a nice home and the new owner will take care of it like you did. Good luck! The pics came out pretty crappy and I'll try to get better ones, however these will have to do for now: http://www.318ti.org/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=899 BTW, in these pics, there's some wax on the front and rear bumper moldings. It's a PITA to get it out of the textured surfaces. I still need to use a toothbrush to get the residual wax out of all of the crevices, steam clean the interior and detail the engine bay. NEVER BUY A BLACK CAR!!! I also took it in and had the smog check done today. It passed with flying colors. Tomorrow I'm going to the DMV to get it registered, then it's officially going up for sale. I'll start by posting it on craigslist, not sure if I want to put it on ebay or autotrader yet. Asking price is 6 grand obo, but I won't take less than 5500 for it and that's only if it doesn't sell for the asking price within the next few weeks. I've already sourced a complete s52 swap for my '97 locally. As soon as this baby's gone it's showtime for the '97! __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 05-14-2008, 02:14 PM | #57 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | wooot finally jesse! she looks good! the seats look to be in good condition especially the bolsters! very nice! best of luck with the sale. i still think you should sell the 97 __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 05-14-2008, 10:39 PM | #58 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget wooot finally jesse! she looks good! the seats look to be in good condition especially the bolsters! very nice! best of luck with the sale. i still think you should sell the 97 | Thanks Josh, It needed a lot of attention to get it this nice. I'm pretty confident that the next owner will have years of trouble free enjoyment with her. I've put just under 900 miles on it since the clutch and tranny work, so she's proved to be solid. The seats are in great condition. I was really surprised because the seats in my '97 are in horrible shape compared to these. There is one spot about the size of a dime on the driver's lower bolster that could use a little coloring. I'll take care of that tonight with a little leather dye and it shouldn't be noticeable. There's no rips, tears or burns. I'm still going to steam clean them as there's a few "shiny spots" on the red millpoint??? I don't know why but the cloth actually has a few areas that are shiny and reflect light when I tried to take a picture of them. Anyway, it's too late Josh, I've already decorated the windows __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 05-14-2008, 10:40 PM | #59 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 05-14-2008, 11:07 PM | #60 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | 97's need lovin too __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
