So, you never felt a difference without the sound dampening removed? Mine is falling apart and I thought about replacing it, getting rid of it altogether would be a lot easier. Lol Don't you need two more itbs? __________________ | | | 01-21-2015, 08:29 PM | #723 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: West Bend, Wisconsin Posts: 1,055 | The one I have is a UUC DSSR. So it is dual sheer versus being put through one side. It eliminates side to side play in the shifter. I never had a dampener on my car but it never had any vibrations or odd noises when I drove it. That is a picture of half of the kit haha __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 01-22-2015, 11:43 AM | #724 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: West Bend, Wisconsin Posts: 1,055 | My flywheel got finished up yesterday=) My clutch kit should be on it's way here shortly and I am picking up a transmission on Saturday. Once I get the trans, I will be cleaning it up and replacing the shifter detent springs, input/output shaft seals, selector shaft seal, and the selector rod joint. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | 01-22-2015, 11:49 AM | #725 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: UK, Kent Posts: 206 | Good to see progress, coming along nicely can't wait to see the engine all in and running going to look so smart! Trying to find good pricing. That is funny we are doing it at the same time. We can bounce ideas off of eachother haha. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii Last edited by Earl; 01-22-2015 at 09:11 PM. | | | 01-22-2015, 08:33 PM | #728 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Orange County, CA Posts: 2,019 | Hey Earl, Can I have EXACT specs of your car so I can go and copy everything you've done so far. I was just pointing out the fact that I just pulled my ZF tranny, and wanted to replace all the seals, just like he mentioned. You better check yo self before you wreck yo self esse. Earl, you can take your number down, I COPIED IT. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk | First and foremost that was NOT DIRECT TO YOU. Do not get all jacked up on mountain dew and jump on me like a spider monkey. It was not directed towards anyone and don't be offended by that comment since it was a joke between Earl and I. It happened when the flywheel was cleaned after being resurfaced. You cannot feel it on the surface so it won't harm anything. I also got some parts back from powdercoat. __________________ 95 318ti & 96 318ti Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb Im Jelly.. enough said. | Follow me on instagram: earlmeyeriii | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
