ESS doesn't list it on their site. Google shows that KO Performance sells an e36 ESS kit but their site sucks and I can't get any information about it.

The ESS kit looks like a non-intercooled Vortech, I wonder if the tuning is better than the others out there?

Maybe they have not gotten there yet. I know they were addressing the e46 crew but thought an e36 M3 kit was out too. I spoke to them recently- they were very cooperative on the phone with info and plans, etc.

Congrats Dusten, amazing e36, great find too. I rally to turn the hatch into a full-prep race car, gutted, cat delete, side exit exhaust, cover it in vinyl, it'll be great. haha

Default congrats, DustenT!

Nice car. Looks like a very clean example! You made a great choice with the e36. IMHO, the e36 is a good balance between the raw e30 and the plush e46 -- has enough creature comforts to be comfortable for daily driving, yet handles well and provides excellent feedback to the driver.

Feel free to hit me up with any questions on any e36 M mods... I wrench on my own car, and can give you real world feedback about the some of the mods available. My 4dr e36 m3 is pretty modified -- it's both track rat and daily driver (well, not daily anymore since I added the ti to my stable).

Thanks for the offer. It's good to see some people on this forum with m3s. I've been browsing the various m3 forums and they don't have the same feel that 318ti.org has.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I remember how awesome it felt to own my first BMW (the 318ti), that feeling doesn't go away when you buy a second one! I'll post a baller shot of my garage with both BMWs tucked inside. I think my neighbors hate me.

dustent. copngrats first is a very very clean and in good condition machine, so now you have the answer for the question, what car have more power or in what of two you feel more the power? in the supercharged Ti or the M3...thanks

The m3, by a lot.

The m3 isn't stock, so it's not a completely fair comparison. The gearing in the m3 is awesome. 1st gear is actually useful in the m3, but it's not in the 318ti. The 318 feels MUCH smaller for some reason, maybe its the seat position or something, but it feels narrower than the m3.

You can ask me any S52 questions too... also, compare the M3 vs the 318ti, the Ti's rear end is a few inches higher stock, and the M3 has wider tires stock and is also slightly wider at the rear. I think the Coupe's front is also wider than the ti.

Dusten, congratulations. The car looks very clean. The E36 M3 is an awesome car. But let me tell you, you will still love to drive your DASC ti. At least I do.

So now that you have an E36 M3, supercharge it as well. It's costly but it is money well spent. If you think your neighbors hate you now, wait until you have two supercharged BMWs in your garage.

A picture of my E36 M3 supercharged.

Funny you say that...

I got a call from a friend tonight that has a Dinan blower in his living room. Long story where it came from, but it's exactly what I need to get this started. We'll see what happens.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

If you do it, share some pictures. We would love to see it. Good luck with the blower.
