Not to mention if you just go with the bilstien combo you have NO adjustability. Koni's offer a little more adjustment, but it is still nothing to write home about. If you are serious about this whole drifting deal then I suggest you not skimp on the suspension department.

Also look into a brake bias controler. Real race cars use it to adjust brake bias as the burn off gas or if conditions change. You could use it screw up your brake bias all to the rear to get the back of the car to come out.

Also look into the bushings and camber plates. A lot of people overlook these suspension components. Bushings on cars as old as ours are probably shot. I know mine were and there was an amazing difference for before and after. You also are you going to want camber plates for obvious reasons.

thanks so much for all the info ... these are all things i new i needed to get done ... had to do most of it to my corrolla .... and its just money now ... i think for the moment im going to run the shock spring combo because im getoing it for like 300 and then in early august im getin 4g from a court case and then ill use that money for the coil overs and stuff

I am not saying it can't be done, but you had better have two spare tires on the back, on slick pavement after it rains, or have a M engine swap. Drifting on ice is fun, but I like autox better than drifting therefore a bit of understeer for the win, oversteer for last place.....lol

not necessaraly its more about power to weight ... my buddies corrolla has like 60 to the ground on a good day and he drifts

While drifting doesn't exactly excite me, we practice car control on a skid pad. It is very beneficial getting a feel for oversteer, understeer and correction. The goal is to hang out the tail and go around the skid pad.

A skid pad is a circular paved course. Often painted and wet.
This allows you to learn car control at a lower speed and saves your tires quite a bit.

Nice pics. Not a big fan of the huge fog lights on the AE-86 but its a cool car. Can you shoot some video of drifting the ti?

i'm new to this forum, and my ti,

but i used to be big into the drifting scene about 3 years ago, with a bunch of my friends from vegasdrift.com...

aaaanyways, i would suggest power adders to come later on, get some coilovers, a 1.5 way LSD, or 2 way if you wana get hardcore. to start out with.

and use the power of the 4cyl

*sorry to hear about the hachi, scary **** up in the mountains
