His next response:

to me

show details 8:55 PM (22 minutes ago)

Hey I just got back to town, this is the first time since the 14th I've been to my computer. Thanks for the slander and defamation of character on the vw site... I can't tell you how happy I am. I will have your money to you as soon as it is available. Another person filed a complaint and now my paypal account is negative, I wont be able to refund your money until I get that square. Please don't worry you will get your money it means absolutely nothing to me, my name and reputation are worth far more than comments from people like you and your fearful dollars.

Thanks for the faith and trust, I knew from the beginning you were a schmuck. I should have gone with my instinct and just sold them to other interested parties. Please email me your number if you'd like to discuss this further you coward!

My response

Look man, the deal was it would be a few days, and then you would ship them. If you've been gone since the 14th, and you couldn't get them out before you left, you should have told me. No slander or defaming you, just posting the facts.....I sent you money, you were supposed to get back with me in 3-4 days, and you ignored any contact for 2 weeks.

You've logged onto the 318ti site several times between the 14th and now, and not a peep....so how am I supposed to react. Looks like you were totally ignoring me.

If someone else filed a complaint, thats none of my business, but it sounds like you weren't taking care of that situation either. All I ask is for COMMUNICATION, something you obviously either don't value, or don't know about. Would you have been cool with sending someone a hundred bucks, then not hearing from them for 2 weeks when it was supposed to be 3 days? And the whole time thinking they were getting the messages and ignoring you?

Simply refund the $100 to my paypal account, and sell your parts somewhere else. Once I've been refunded I will post up on both the vortex and 318ti site that I've been refunded. I'll also contact the FBI website (where I filed a complaint), and paypal and let them know you have refunded my money as well.

I'll be in Ohio this coming tuesday and wed to pick up a motorcycle, and could even meet up with you somewhere if you would like.

I don't know what's worse.
Someone not coming through with a sale or posting private emails.

Edit: Sometimes I wish no one used the site to buy/sell.

So you'ld rather me NOT say anything about the bad deal, and just make unfounded/unbacked accusations? I thought it might be better for potential buyers to see the kind of person I had to deal with, so they could save themselves the hassle.

I don't know what I'd rather have and I don't know the whole story.

I'll post up when/if it's been resolved, but posting here has gotten a response from him, which NOTHING ELSE HAD.

Too bad there is not a common itrader that everyone uses.

I have also been waiting for my part to ship. I paid on 7-Oct and it has not arrived yet. My car is out of commission until I get this part. He communicated well before the sale, but after I sent the money, he has not initiated any communication. I have e-mailed, PM'd and called him. Last I heard the part shipped last Friday. He is in Cleveland, I am near Cincinnati. Mail takes 2 days. I have doubts I will get my part, but if I do, I will let you know.

I've got every and all contacts between him and I saved, so I can back up anything that I've said has happened.

I agree about the itrader thing. The DSM link community has used that effectively for years.

Maybe the whole thing was a mistake, a mixup, or ???. But not following though is exactly that. How would anyone feel if they sent someone a payment, were supposed to hear back from that person 3 days later, and then 2 weeks go by. All the while that person is logging into the website, but not responding to any communication?

I'm done here. When the refund hits (doubtful) I'll be glad to post up that the situation has been resolved.

I hope everyone gets their parts soon and we can move on.
It's a shame these things happen.
It really ruins it for so many.

I do to
It IS a shame

I don't understand the last part at all.

Posting a bad deal, or something that didn't work out doesn't ruin anything for anyone.....it saves people loads of time, grief, and frustration. The next person can then make up their mind if they want to deal with that particular seller or not. I'm not sure how making an informed decision ruins "it" for so many. If I come across something like this with a seller, I'd probably call them or email them and ask them to explain. Rational explanation is great, guy tells you to F off, then you know up front what you are dealing with.

Looks like a time saver to me.

Bad sellers make it bad for future buyers.

My mail arrived today, but still no part from this seller. I e-mailed, PM'd, and called him. But he does not return messages. I see he was logged onto this site last night, but he has not responded to this thread.

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!! AGENTCHANGE IS UNRELIABLE!!!!!

I found out that he never shipped my parts even though he told me he did. He is a liar and does not communicate after the sale.

When I paid for the part we agreed on I sent him an e-mail stating I paid, and gave him the paypal transaction number. I asked if he could ship that day or the next. After hearing nothing from him for 3 days I sent him an e-mail. He now says that my e-mail was crappy and distateful. And he decided then that he would not ship my part. Did he tell me that? No! Instead a week later he told me he shipped my part. After a few more days when my part didn't arrive he said he will have to check to see what happened, because he shipped it.

This guy is a liar, and so far he is a theif. He is known on other forums as illfoxone and on myspace as youthief (fitting, huh?) He will make up stuff to justify his inaction and poor communication. Don't buy from this guy. He does not know the definition of a deal.

Here is the e-mail he found offensive:

I am getting worried about the parts I have ordered.
When I made my payment on 10/7, I simply asked that you let me know when the parts would ship.
But since getting my money you have not responded to me, even though I have e-mailed and sent a PM thru 318ti.org
It appears that others have also had problems with you shipping parts, based on the posts on your thread.
I am giving you this opportunity to communicate with me about this matter before I make a post on your thread.
Can you please let me know when you shipped or will ship my part?
If you have already shipped it, thanks.
Just a word of advice. Communication is the key to keeping buyers of your parts happy.

Regards,
-Dave
