Default Possible crank sensor

Jumped in my car this morning to go and do the manifold gasket replacecemnt, started the car got 10 yards and car cut out....wouldnt start again....no sparks....ABSOLUTELY hammering down with rain last night, could be wet/damp electrics?
No problems at all with the car running yetserday.(just the manifold gasket)

Could this be a crank sensor?

Took it to a local garage and he is going to look at it monday/tuesday...any ideas what this could be?
