The driver was ticketed but there's no fault in michigan. __________________ [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] | | | 11-01-2006, 11:15 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Dude that's poop....im workin on this guys altima that got smashed from a truck in michigan. And I could easily see how the old man missed the pavement colored bmw on a cloudy day, especially with cataracts. Damn those dark grey cars! LOL just kidding. __________________ My next car will be a 335D...I swear | | | 11-02-2006, 02:12 AM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA Posts: 27 | It hurts to look at it. So as far as I know, the max I can get from their insurance is $500 mini tort. I'm not sure if I can go after the owner for the rest. He was driving a newer ford ranger pick-up. He's an old timer. The first thing I noticed was his left eye. His wife was very apologetic. She seemed way more 'together' and should have been doing the driving. I'm not sure how he missed the wheel or the door jam- lucky I guess. Things may be bent like the TRod and arm, hopefully once I get her back together she'll align. I'll need a corner assembly, headlight surround....hood is rolled under...door...glass is ok since it was up.....fender....not sure what else- it get's dark quick here now. My e21 buddies are going to take care of me with free parts for shipping. __________________ [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] | | | 11-02-2006, 07:40 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Tampa, FL Posts: 677 | Ouch sorry to hear and see that. Yea the no fault crap sucks, Florida has the same thing and it also is over run by old old people....We have people here that cant even pay for groceries because they cant see the screen, they cant hardly move, they shake too much the list goes on..... Good luck with fixing the car and take it easy on yourself get a fast recovery! __________________ my new world | | | 11-03-2006, 12:59 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | hope you recover fully. got a friend who rolled his S/C'd 99 M3, his back is still giving him problems. I've been lucky so far to walk from every one of my crackups with out problems. but luck can only carry so far. | | | 11-03-2006, 01:35 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: Northern Michigan Posts: 867 | well I'm feeling ok today neck wise. I sorta feel like I did every saturday morning when I was playing football back in HS 90-94. For those who play or played, you know what I mean. I remember giving and receiving about 6-7 car wrecks each game. The knee problems though, will last forever. anyway- because I only had liability, I can only recoup $500. There is a bill bogged down in the legislature raising mini tort to a 1k max, but Insurance companies have big time pull. __________________ [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
