When upgrading to a 325/28 front brake set-up. You need the following items. Calipers Rotors Carriers I also have 2 more questions. First, that set-up show be ok for clearence with 17" MMII and second, if I buy ss brake line I should buy them for a 325/28 instead of the 318ti correct. Thanks in advance for your help. mphmotorwerks. __________________ 1998 M-tech 325ti; Hellrot: M50 Swap, Cold-Air Intake, Custom Magna-Flow Exhaust, Depo Housings w/55 Watt HID, Yellow Fogs,Tinted Windows (35%), M3 Front Spoiler Lip, Black Grills, X-Brace, 17" Drag DR-19 wrapped with Hankook VR-12s, Bilstein HD with M-Tec Springs | | | 01-15-2008, 05:04 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Minnesota Posts: 227 | would anyone that know this please let me know if it is correct or not.....I dont want to buy the wrong parts __________________ 1998 M-tech 325ti; Hellrot: M50 Swap, Cold-Air Intake, Custom Magna-Flow Exhaust, Depo Housings w/55 Watt HID, Yellow Fogs,Tinted Windows (35%), M3 Front Spoiler Lip, Black Grills, X-Brace, 17" Drag DR-19 wrapped with Hankook VR-12s, Bilstein HD with M-Tec Springs | | | 01-15-2008, 06:06 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Carriers, calipers, rotors, new retaining screws, and pads if needed. You can use any front SS brake lines you want. 17's clear any stock E36 brake setup. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 01-15-2008, 04:42 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | Parts list is correct. The diameter of the rotor is not increased so any wheel that fits now will fit after the conversion. (Wheel choices are impacted when doing the 330 brake upgrade which is 17" minimum) __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 01-15-2008, 04:49 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | Quote: Originally Posted by campaiar Parts list is correct. Never used. I ordered one set and they sent me only half the lines, while the rest were on backorder. I had to order a second set to get them in time for my brake swap (which, funny enough, hasn't happened yet). So now I have two full car sets of ti SS lines. Let me know if you're interested. Sorry to thread jack. Don't forget all the accesory parts for those brakes like the anti-rattle clips, pad wear sensors, pads, fluid, etc. it adds up quickly. | | | 01-25-2008, 05:50 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bluebimma What does the clutch's slave cylinder have to do with the brake swap? | the increased caliper cylinder size frequires more fluid to pass though, which the enlarged slave cylinder compensates for. All non-M e36s use the same slave cylinder, so there is no compenstation for anything nor will the feel change. You upgrade to the m3 slave cylinder when you do the m3 clutch assembly due to the much larger surface area being activated by the clutch slave cylinger which gives you the correct feel for the clutch. Rear brakes, you need to grab Mcoupe/roadster trailing arms to get the full setup for the rear brakes. Non-ti chassis rear brakes are not compatible. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 01-26-2008, 05:07 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Land of the Vikings Posts: 2,700 | sorry your right the brake vacuum is only for the e46 330 brake upgrade !
