Question oil service interval light? gahh!

just got my 95' ti 2 weeks ago (woohoo), and i want to do my first oil/filter change.

I was wondering if there is any possible way to reset your oil service interval light on the dash without using the BMW or aftermarket reset tool. (i.e. disconnecting the battery or pulling main fuse).

but if its not possible to do so, would it be ok to change the oil/filter and take it to my mechanic to reset in a day or two to have it reset? thanks in advance.

Stick a paperclip in pin#'s 7 and 19 on the 20 pin diagnostic port in the engine bay. Hold it there for about 3 seconds for the oil service lights and 12 for the inspection lights.

Awesome and thanks. I'll remember that for my oil changes.
