Default FS '97 330ti cheap

1997 BMW 330ti for sale...$7500. I prefer local
buyers, or someone who will pick this up.....I
basically don't want to ship this car. This car is
located in Wales Wisconsin

It has a "rebuilt" title.

All parts were replaced in order to upgrade the
"salvage" title to a "rebuilt" title by the State of
Florida. Nothing on the title, but car fax will show
this.

Reason for selling?

I bought the car a little over a month ago as a "fixer upper" but now im getting deployed to iraq for 18 months and dont have anywhere to store it.
About 2 days after I bought it the clutch blew out, replaced it with a M5 sachs clutch kit from UUC. Then the alternator went, (the guy that owned the car before me had some POS alternator in there) it was replaced with a 140 amp Bosch with cooling impeller. Those are the only things i have done since I bought the car.

Engine:
'95 3.0L S50 (inline 6) 115K Miles. 20K miles on M50
head (2.5L...raised compression) Dyno'd 221whp and 208
ft./lbs. On stock cams.
21.5# injectors
Euro 3.5" HFM (MAF)
Active autowerkes 3.5" intake (heatsheild box)
Active autowerkes Software
Active Autowerkes Gen III Exhaust
Upgraded Valve retainers
Cooling:
M3 Radiator
80C thermostat
Clutch fan removed (fan delete)
Aux. Fan wired into the engine temp sensor (high
speed for engine and low setting is by manual switch
in cab.

Tranny-wise:
Getrag tranny (not ZF unit)
3.25 LSD from an E28 (much beefier than the small case
diff)
UUC 8.5lb Aluminum flywheel
E34 M5 Clutch (brand new)
Steel-braided clutch line
UUC EVOIII short-shift kit w/ weighted selecting rod
Active autowerks weighted knob
UUC clutch stop and pedal bushing.

Suspension:
Z3 2.8 Steering rack (very quick)
M3 front sway bar
H&R springs
Bilstein shocks
X-brace
E46 Rear-shock-mounts

There is a problem with the suspension im not sure what it is. when I bought it the guy told me that the two mismatched front wheels were bent and that was why the car was shaking but it turned out he was full of ****. Because I put on the "good" wheels and when the car is at about 50 miles per hour the wheel shakes. Im not sure if its just that the wheels need to be aligned or what, cuz I havent done that. Maybe its a quick fix but im not sure.

Wheels and brakes:
M3 Front brakes
Axis ultimate pads

- Powdercoated 17x8" & 17x9" Forged FIKSE FM-5's on
235
and 245 Bredgestone SO3's

A genuine, full size, 95 M3 spare wheel-pilot sport
mounted on!

Exterior: M3 Mirrors (real....not replicas!)
M3 side skirts
E46 M3 "styled" MAShaw front bumper (10lbs) (theres a small crack on it that would need to be fixed to make it perfect)
M3 Side trim (a small piece missing by doorjam)
ZKW Headlights
Clear tail lights, side markers and corners. (I also
have the stock ambers I'll toss in)

Interior:
M3 Gauge cluster
'98 sedan dash with 18 button OBC and digital climate (doesnt freakin work)
control
'99 M3 steering wheel
armrest from unkown model
M3 Door sill trim
3-piece VDO aftermarket guages (mounted below computer)
----Water temp, oil pressure, and Volts
ZR3 Laser "shifter" is hardwired in so I am leaving it
in
hard wires for a V-1 unit installed
Standard 318ti interior other than what was stated
(dove grey)

I can include an old blaupunkt cd player with the car.

Extras:
WOW!!Heavy Tint all-around (-driver window)
New-in-box- clutch slave Cylinder
NIB- rear subframe bushings
NIB- Carrier bearing

Other modifications:
Battery relocated to the rear. (new battery as of a month ago)
A/C has been removed. YES...NO A/C ...OMFG!!!!
Ful interior!!!

Ther are some things I probably left out so ask away.

Car gets awesome gas milage (about 28.5 average)
What it needs:
-The window regulators are acting-up. The previous owner was an idiot and had them all Fcuked up, I got the windows back in the regulator arms but they are still not in the tracks. Also the drivers side regulator is acting up and needs to be securely bolted into the door.
-There is a short in the brake lights, running lights and panel lights.
The rear lights work, but the brakes likes don't
(third brake does, however). They would need to be wired to bypass the curcuits to work.

This car is not 100% perfect....no way. Running
condition is awesome, but it has it's little quirks as
far as what was stated above. Also the previous owner treated it like **** so the car would probably need a new paint job. From 10 feet it looks good but get up close and its not good.

Aside from the problems, it still runs great. The engine is awesome car is fast just needs some work to get it back to 100 percent. I would complete it but I dont have the time as i'll be leaving in a week for premob training.

Do you know where in iraq you gonna be at...I'm in FOB Speicher, it's not that bad, we only get incoming every now and then. Good luck bro!!!

I believe you’re better off posting it in Autotrader magazine/online. I think most people in the forum know that this car was troublesome to begin with. Advertise it in autotrader as a ///M3 with lower insurance. You can also state something like the car runs low -mid 13 in the 1/4 mile. "If you want a car that can beat STI, SRT-4, RSX-S, E36 M3's and give E46M3's a run for its money then this car is yours". I'll bet a lot of teenage kids will flock on it. Most of them now, look for ¼ mile numbers when buying their first car.
