I just bought this car and I notice at times the power steering is a bit stiff and when I went to look at the fluid I noticed that it is a nice grey color and it appears to have been red at one time long ago. It still works but I want a good used one to keep on hand, Please let me know if you have one and your asking price, It would need to be shipped to PA... Thank you Peter
Have you tried draining and replacing the ATF (Dextron III) in the steering system to see if that helps? Change the PS resivior as well as the filter is probably clogged if it the original one...
That may be enough to help before swapping the rack/pump.

I have the rack, pump and lines if you need it. The rack is already off, the pump is still on. the pump should be good if you want to replace it later, the rack is what i would assume would go back first, but i am not sure. The rack also has Tie Rods on it yet, all in good shape. i will PM you about it.
