Default swap

You got me thinking about it since this could be carb compliant. I know the Z3 M52 had an aluminum block but to do a compliant swap do I need more than a motor, harness and ECU?

Yes.

The short answer is: a Z3 motor harness and DME is NOT a drop-in for the ti.

This is why I did the manual!

I did contact you a while ago for a manual, but didn't realize your guides were different for different motors and I haven't decided on one yet.

I've got a chicken and egg problem, I want to know what is all involved in a swap before I pick a motor, but researching and comparing the different M52, M54, M52 aluminum, S50 and S52 options is a lot of work.

It is a lot of information to digest.

What some buyers do is get the manual and ETM for their ti, and then once they have a donor, get the donor ETM. Unless you don’t have either car, this is not a bad way to go.

And, additional ETMs are only $5 if you want others...
