Question Transmission cooler?

I was looking at some diagrams on realoem.com, and the diagram for the auto tranny shows a cooler somewhere in the front of the car. I've been under my car several times, and I've never seen anything like that. Up front I have an engine coolant radiator, and my AC condensor, but no tranny oil cooler. Anybody help me on this?
Thanks
Maher

That is the power steering reservoir, not the tranny fluid. Although the fluid is the same but thats just for the power steering.

are you sure cause when I dropped the tranny on mine the lines went directly to the tranny not the PSP. I think you might be confussed.

I've filled that reservoir up twice because i have a small leak in the lines. It's right under the airbox to the left about 12 inches down. I'm 100% positive it's the PS fluid. My bentley manual also says it is ps. The top of it says ATF,i've put in Mobil 1 dexron 3,it's a pink/reddish fluid.

i think you guys may be talking about two different things. a transmission cooler would look like a small radiator and, according to angel, sits in front of the radiator. the power steering fluid reservoir sits behind the radiator and is just a cylindrical fluid container (with some rubber tubes coming out the bottom routed to the power steering pump and power steering rack trombone pipe).

It is it sits on the right side of the radiator if you are facing the car. I just replaced my radiator yesterday so I am sure.

the round thing that takes ATF sitting between the engine and transmission is your power steering fluid resivoir. There is an oil cooler that sits infront of the radiator according to realoem.com http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/o/b/181.png

If you want to get technical, the trans cooler is in between the condenser and the radiator.
