Secondary air pump ground wire?

The secondary air pump is powered by a plug socket that attaches at the bottom of the pump, and the plug socket has two wires attached to it.

One wire powers the pump, the other wire (brown) that exits the socket is the ground. Does anyone know where exactly the ground wire should be attached? If anyone can supply a picture depicting the exact location, that would be great.

Can someone post a picture of the mounting position in the bay for the pump and bracket? Mine was removed when I bought the car, now I need to reinstall it.

heading out to the garage now to do a little more work on my car....
I just pulled my secondary air pump out a couple nights ago, I can't quite recall off the top of my head where the wire went, but I will certainly have a look and take a picture of my findings.

the pump just mounts to a mounting bracket located on the drivers side shock tower.

As for the ground wire, Im not so sure - all thats there is the connector plug

it probably runs into the fuse box, mine doesn't have one, or id check, but if your running a new one, you can run it on to any ground because bmw uses the uni-ground or whatever its called system to ground electrical.

Found it: the ground location is the stud that sticks out from the driver's side strut tower, near the fuse box.

I was just about to post that for you, I realized I was looking at the wrong connector under my hood (considering ALL of them are hangin out right now lol)

after I went back out the second time I realized where it goes and forgot to post it... sorry about that.
