Hey pnosker, this guy shares your name:

That's pretty cool, hope he stays safe.

I wonder how safe a hood that strong would be. If it can support 60-70tons.. when would it shatter/crumple in the event of a front end collision?

...How's about a skid plate?

Just to fill you guys in, I ordered the 5 hoods. They are shipping on Sept 2 (expect ~20-26 days for delivery via sea). I will have 3 available for $465 each. Pictures will be taken of fitment and whatnot on my car. If you guys like them, and there's further interest after, we can try to get a "real" GB going instead of having my dad front the money.

Yeah... I don't have an official weight yet. All I know is that they've been loaded on a ship last Tuesday and should be here in a couple of weeks. Apparently I have to go to Elizabeth NJ to pick them up .

I will weigh them when they get here. As of now, 3 are not spoken for. $465 + s/h for one. If nobody here wants them, I'll just stick them on eBay for $500 or something.

That was a weight of a different but similar hood. I don't have the real figures for this hood yet.
