Default BIG idel problem. need help quick!!!

i was driving around all morning with no problems. i came homw and parked in my driveway. i turned off my car nad started it back up maybe 10mins later. the car jumped up to around 1500 rpm and them stalled out!! i tried it again and it didnt evenpass 1000 rpm and it stalled out! i finally got it to start by revving it up right after i started it. i held it at around 1500 rpma nd let off the gas... Stalled... no questions.

i think that it might be the idel control valve... or jackass put somehting in my gastank (i was parked at the hockey rinks for my game this morning... teensa all around)

now i have a 95' ti (m42) if this might help at all...

thank you...

Did the check engine light come on? If not, it may be a dirty ICV, or a hole in the intake somewhere.

I don't see how that could fix an electronic problem, I cleaned mine and it did nothing. My mechanic said that only buying a new one will solve the problem, but I guess it's worth a try before putting out the $178 for the new ICV.

It's not an electronic problem, there's a swivel valve that gets clogged...

Anyway, my huge idle problem was a hole in the intake manifold.
