its not a log style manifold, so is that nasty pipe for the wastegate or just crappy construction?

OK, look at the manifold, its a tubular collecter, not a log style manifold. If you look at the manifold, on the left side of the picture, there is a runner where the number 1 (or 4) cylinder is welded onto. Now where does that runner goto? There is no wastegate flange, so what is the mystery pipe for? Maybe i am just a retard, but i think it looks like junk to me.

Ha that pipe is there for a good reason. looks like its for the 4 cylinder. Also looks like this is for a 6 cylinder just cut up and has a new 4 cylinder plate on it. I know its not a DASC but what makes it junk? There are 4 pipes and a place to put the turbo seems like it would do the job to me.

Also i was wrong. if you are talking about the pipe behind the main pipe it is just a split off pipe for the second cylinder or third. just looks like they did no want to run 1 pipe to all 4 cylinders.
