Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk | I'm running Condor Speed Shop everything (engine/trans/subframe/TA/diff). My only experience with those engine mounts before putting them in my car was in my friends S52 swapped E30. They seem to be totally fine in there, totally manageable in a daily driver application. However with the M44, in the ti chassis, it seems to turn the entire car into a rattle trap. I'm just looking at getting OEM engine mounts at this point. I'm swapping my car at the end of the year, so I just need something to get me by until then. I'll try the Condor mounts again when I have the swap in. | | | 04-09-2016, 01:38 AM | #243 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | I've FINALLY got something to contribute to this thread. LOL Last week, I FINALLY got my rusted-out sway bar mounts replaced... after not having a front sway bar for over a year. *facepalm* Today I had the power steering hoses replaced, valve cover gasket replaced, and rear sub-frame bushings replaced (with PowerFlex purple). IMO, unless your car sees a fair amount of track time or you like to frequently push the envelope, there's really no compelling reason to upgrade beyond OEM mounts anywhere in the car unless you're OK with considerably more vibration/road noise. __________________ 1995 318ti Base - Cosmosschwarz/Sandgrau R.I.P. 1997 318ti Active - Alpinweiß III/Sandgrau 2013 328i Coupe - Le Mans Blau | | | 04-09-2016, 04:40 AM | #247 | Member Join Date: Aug 2015 Location: Arizona Posts: 99 | Quote: Originally Posted by zoner I found that when I replaced my well worn motor mounts at 175k with OEM rubber, it was considerably stiffer and since my ti is my daily driver, I don't think I'd want anything more than that. I'm just surprised there was so much difference between solid mounts in my friend's s52 swapped e30, and solid mounts in my m44 ti. Both Condor mounts but his are barely noticeable, mine are horrific. So I'll definitely back it down to OEM then. They only have to last until I s52 swap the car later this year, but I can't deal with the vibration for that long. Also bonus images from today, put my M trim on. Before: After: And I picked up a sport bumper. Need to get it color matched, but I really like the look. I do have the bottom trim piece, just not pictured. I also ordered clear turn signals and repeaters to match the tail lights. All in the name of Bimmerfest prep. | | | 04-11-2016, 01:35 AM | #248 | Member Join Date: Aug 2015 Location: Arizona Posts: 99 | Parts keep pouring in, it's all a little much now but I'm looking forward to the finished product. Unfortunately the shell I had agreed to buy got sold before I could pick it up. The good news is the guy who bought the shell didn't want most of the interior, so I still got to pick it up. Since I have Vader's I won't really be needing these seats. Might throw them in my E30 since I have my stock ti seats in there right now and these will match better. So now I need to figure out the plastics situation. I'm thinking about flocking the dash and center console black, and then the dying the rear hatch carpet and rear plastics. I'll definitely have to get all the pillar/headliner redone. Still I couldn't pass up the interior, so I guess that's one more project to tackle before Bimmerfest. | | | 04-11-2016, 11:22 PM | #249 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2009 Location: Orange County, CA Posts: 2,019 | Quote: Originally Posted by Bwwaaaa I also ordered clear turn signals and repeaters to match the tail lights. The reservoir was almost empty! Topped it up but accidentally overfilled. Luckily for me a CVS opened up across the street, so I was able to walk over and buy a mini syringe to get the level back down. It's also super grimy down there, so I may have to do that job at some point. I also saw that my radiator is leaking pretty bad :/ __________________ '96 318ti California Edition- Montreal blue '68 1600-2-Caribe blue | | | 04-14-2016, 01:53 AM | #254 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Matt!
