i actually live in redwood city but go to college in davis. however this looks very interesting. i am sending my father to go check it out sometime this week. my car has been having something new break almost everytime i drive it, so maybe this car could get rid of some of the frustration. besides, ive always wanted to an engine swap :-)

wish i had a v8 4x4 with a trailer! if i'm seeing the front correctly, it looks to be a sport (or at least have m-tech front bumper).

it definitely looks to be a sport, with the 16" wheels too. if i am lucky enough when i come back from college i can see this parked outside of my house. or if worst comes to worse someone other than me ends up with an awesome looking ti and i get to work on mine some more.

ugh. the fact that it is an automatic and that its $800 more just made this car seem way less appealing. it wouldve been nice as a project car, but as a college student i wouldn't put down 2k for a side project. although, if i had the time, money, or knowledge (don't have any of those 3 currently) i could convert the car to manual transmission and just use the one in my current car for the swap.

This guy sounds like a douchebag. "Due to the overwhelming interest, I'm raising the price" It appears that he doesn't want people to be interested in buying his car if he's raising the price. Also, I like the way he added that it's missing an airbag and the fuel gauge doesn't work.

ya almost sounds like he wants to point out the negatives to stop so many people calling and not trying to give him the money he asked for.

So many people are dishonest when listing their vehicles, which often results in other people's time being wasted. In his case I think it backfired on him. I don't doubt that the car is worth the 2 grand he's asking for it. But since he pulled a dirtbag move and raised the price, I wouldn't even bother dealing with him. Besides being an automatic, fuel gauge not working, airbag missing and oh yeah the motor being trashed, I wonder how many other hidden problems the car has. I know people are thinking "well for two grand, what do you expect?" but that's not the point. It doesn't matter if he was only asking two hundred for it. At the very least, he should be honest. If you got a sale flyer in the mail and went to the store to find out that they raised the prices because people "showed interest", would you still shop there? Of course not and the store would soon go out of business because of false advertisement lawsuits.

"I changed my mind, I don't want to sell it anymore, so I'll raise the price to get less interest. kthxbye!"

That sucks!
I thought I was doing someone here a favor & the guy ends up being a jerk.

I see someone posted (anonymously) hehehe, on his local craigslist board in response to his "update".

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/car/493572418.html

This could be fun for a little while!

At least until Mr. cnotesdip says something silly again.
Then we can trash him some more!
