Default Fan is acting up

Hey guys. So i have a question. When you turn your ac on does it stay on constantly until you shut it off or does it pulse on then off every few seconds?

That's usually a sign of something wrong in the system,
most likely low charge...

Depends on what is "pulsing" on and off. If the compressor is turning on and off, that might be normal because it adapts to temperature change. If you mean the entire system is turning off, fan and compressor... that indicates a problem.

If the compressor stays on, that's correct.
It may cycle on and off, but not quickly (i.e. every few seconds)

The blower inside should run continuously.

The engine cooling fan should come on low, and stay on.

From your initial post, I thought the compressor was short cycling, which can indicate low REFRIGERANT charge...

That ain't right... it should run continuously.

Maybe overloading the circuit breaker? (I'm not 100% it even has a circuit breaker)

hth

You should have to describe what's really going on. If you turn your A/C on it also turns your fan on all the time. If you have a low A/C pressure it will not activate your A/C compressor and your fan or it will just be on and off. There is a pressure switch that is connected on one of your A/C line, this switch shut down your compressor and fan if it has a low pressure. Try checking your compressor if it's engaging or not

Basically what happens is i start my vehicle and when i turn the ac on it blows just fine sometimes cold sometimes not. The cooling fan behind my radiator will kick on for just a few seconds and then off right after.

Have your A/C fix or let them check for freon and that will solve your problem

You have an electrical control issue with your radiator fan. It should be ON once the a/c is turned ON.

I think your problem is this.
When you turn ON the a/c, the radiator fan does not turn immediately.
Since the a/c compressor is running and the raidator fan not running at once, high pressure builds up in the a/c condenser due to lack of air flow across the condenser coil. A/C pressure keeps on rising until the a/c high pressure switch senses it and it turns ON the radiator fan in high speed. Once the a/c high side pressure drops, the fan stops running and then it repeats the cycle. That's why the radiator fan is cycling.

You need to make sure the radiator fan runs the moment you turn ON the a/c. I had this problem and came up with a fix. Search my post.
