From early spring, still had the automatic tranny and open differential.

They look like the factory 10 spokes. I've got them on my car.

My girlfriend was the "camera man", she thought I was going to hit her, silly girl. The rims are 17" Mille Miglia's.

Seems kind of slow for some reason, I was trying to learn how to control a drift in the snow, but the parking lot was on a hill, so that didn't work out so well. I think you can hear the DASC pretty good in this one. Check out the HIDs.

ya dude that's pretty sick, I like those 5 spokes a lot I was trying to keep with the 5 spoke, I have the m technik body kit and the stock 16"'s on mine, take a look at the pictures, but actually as we speak, I'm working on getting an engine, I found a place in San Diego, that will sale me an 1997 m3 3.2L with EVERYTHING i need for the conversion, including new instrument panel/ac compressor/5 speed transmission/clutch pedals/everything, I need to drop it in. Should be pretty fun to drive. I want to film some of my stuff but it's tough to find a quiet place here in LA.

How much are they charging you from the whole setup? When my 1.9L dies I plan on doing the swap, plus an AA turbo kit complete with stand alone engine management. I want to be have the highest HP ti...someday.

I'm being pretty picky about the engine I put in it, even tho most people say a 100k mile engine is fine to put in. The only reason I'm being so picky is because I plan on supercharging it or getting a turbo. So I want a low mileage engine that hasn't been beat to $hit already. I found a few places across the US that will sale me an engine, I can recommend a few places to look, but I found the following. This includes EVERYTHING needed to turn a 318ti auto into a 5 speed 3.2L.

99 3.2L 87K miles on it with 5 speed/wiring harness/instrument panel etc. $4500
97 3.2L 63K miles on it with 5 speed/wiring harness/instrument panel etc. $5000
97 3.2L 97K miles on it with 5 speed/wiring harness/instrument panel etc. $4200

there are a few more but I don't have the specs on them. that is the cost of shipping and everything that's out the door for those engines. I found a shop in LA that could do the swap for $2000. The guy that runs the shop has a 318ti with the conversion done himself, and he has done 3 of them (OBD-II's) He says for $2k I can drop the car off, and when I come back it will be completely done, and warrantied!!

best advice if your doing a swap. try to find an m3 engine out of an automatic, reason being, when you buy an m3 to drive it hard you get an manual shift. people who just want the status of having an m3, buy an automatic. so that means your most likely going to get an engine that's not beat to ****. and all you have to do is get a 5 speed for it.

All in all I'm looking at about $6-7k for the whole job. If I don't do the drop myself.

If you don't mind. What's the name of the shop that has the engines available? I've been seriously looking into this recently as my 1.9 is on its last leg. Thanks.

I'm interested as well, if this shop will do it for $2k plus the cost of parts, I might be willing to drive to CA to have this done.

^-- Love the videos of your ti drifting in the snow. To bad it never snows here in San Diego. I've always wanted to see how the Ti would handle with the new LSD.
