idles like a jugganought

i have a 1996 318ti and recently when the car is idling and drops below 1000 its starts to really chug and shake like "put put put" apply a bit of gas and is ok but as soon as it idles again it sounds and feels bad. i havnt driven it since.

any ideas as too what i could try looking at please?

if you're car is acting like mine you prob should clean you're idle control valve..

Likely vacuum. Take some brake clean and spray around the intake vacuum hoses, im sure the idle will change and youll find your issue
