The dye will make the veins go away. It doesn't fix the leather, it just makes the veins appear like they aren't there. hey L8, did you remove the old dye from the vaders when you did them? after reading the ferrari guy's article, i'm wondering if we have the lacquer-based dye. i've never been that happy with how stiff the leather is and i'm wondering if it's because of the dye. please let me know when you get a chance. thx. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

I did apply some stuff prior, but it might have been needed because I applied an initial coat, and the color was off. I called Leatherique, and they rematched the dye, and send a bottle of stuff to remove the previous dye.....I think. I gotta tell ya, it looks very nice, but closeup, you can see some streaking. Everyone who has seen them, in person, says it came out fantastic. As far as red stitching, maybe you should just dye over them black. | Funny I think the cloth centers with leather trim is the ideal combination. cloth never gets hot and holds you tight in the twisties. The leather trim adds a nice accent. prd318onr- if you have the red+ black interior don't dye over the red stitching- it is a nice detail IMO and probably more work than if you were just careful around it with the dye. just be patient. the leatherique rejuvenator stuff is top notch but since you are dying black on black, not sure if you need something specialized. That said you won't go wrong using their product. __________________
