youll need to get spindles for that conversion but from my understanding the 325, 328 bolts right in, then youll have to buy the rotors, & pads

So you are sayin I need a spindle upgrade as well from an M3 to fit M3 front brakes?

But I do not need this for 325/328 e36 front brakes?

yep, go here http://www.318ti.org/forum/archive/index.php/f-27.html and you find a lot of info with all the specs you need, but yes in order to put m3 calipers your going to also need the spindles

My '96 Ti has M3 front brakes on it. Stock TI brakes in the rear.

So obviously best upgrade to avoid all the excess parts is the direct bolt on e46 330 front brake setup? Will it be a a noticeable upgrade for e36 325 328 front brakes?

The best upgrade is the 33x setup. Will you notice a difference? I doubt it unless you are tracking your car. And even them I have my doubts. My 325/328 brakes stop me just fine on the track with no fade.

The downside is less of a choice of wheels.

Why less of a choice? Because you need more backspacing or larger rims for clearance?

M3 setup require 17" wheels. Not sure about the 330 upgrade.
But the 325/328 can use 15". I run 15" steel wheels in the winter.

330 requires 17" wheels according to most of the data I can find.
I have talked to a couple guys at the track that found certain
wheels in 16 will fit but they were like BBS race wheels or Momo
and at 2500 EACH thats not on "my" shopping list!
