Default FS: 1996 ti sport, white, Boston area.

1996 BMW 318ti hatchback with sport package, Alpine White. 136000 miles.
M44 engine.
5sp manual trans.
Sunroof.
6 disc factory cd changer.
All sport options, 16in wheels, seats, body kit etc.
spare set of 15in alloy (from Active 318ti) winter wheels and snow tires.

Runs well, and well maintained, only synthetic oil. Suspension has been redone in the last couple of years.

NOTE: Needs a new catalytic converter.

I have owned it since new.
I am trading this in on a newer car on 2/22/2008. I have to trade my ti for something more baby friendly. I found the new car faster than I imagined so this is all happening very fast.
If you are interested let me know ASAP.
$2000 or best offer.

Pictures on request.

Default Pictures

You wanted pictures, here they are.
Be aware though that I plan to trade this on the weekend, so time is very limited.
Also recall, that I have been told it needs a new Catalytic Converter.

There are too many photos for one post, so I will do two.

Default Not rust

>can you take a close-up up the rust on the bottom of the door? (is it even rust??)
I do not believe it is rust, just a yellowish discoloration. It has been there for years and has never really changed. I always thought it might be some sort of glue or grease residue. It has resisted washing, but I have never made a huge attempt to remove it.
I'll attach some higher resolution crops of the image. I can try and get better shots later if necessary.

The cat does not rattle or smell, but the check engine light is on and will not go off, and I have been told by the shop that looks after my car that I need a new cat to get rid of the check engine light. I trust that they know what they are talking about.

Default door rust

I looked at the bottom of the drivers side door more carefully, and there is rust there. I had never noticed it before.
I do not want to misrepresent the car so I am attaching some additional photos.

The panel does not feel weakened, so it has not eaten through the outer skin yet. But, the base seam on the bottom edge of the door feels rusted. The rust does not extend the entire length of the door. It extends for about 6 inches.

Who did you end up selling it to? Was it someone from the forum?
