Default The Wife's First Ride

Got the wife a 1995 montreal blue 325i with 180k for only $1,000 It's gonna be a great DD. I got it off a friend of mine who also owns a white 4dr m3, and a 1970 GTO. His sister was borrowing the 325i until she was driving drunk, and popped the curb with some fender and side skirt damage. It was his first car, so he wanted to give it to someone more responsible and actually understood the value of the e36, so he contacted me first. I plan to restore it to stock and keep it that way (1 piece headlights are stupid. Especially when one of them has moister trapped).

Has 3 sets of wheels, but will be sitting on a set of steelies till I can find a set of style 5's.

Here are some pictures:

2) http://img442.imageshack.us/i/img1180t.jpg/
3) http://img245.imageshack.us/i/img1190et.jpg/
4) http://img180.imageshack.us/i/img1191g.jpg/
5) http://img203.imageshack.us/i/img1192sp.jpg/
6) http://img22.imageshack.us/i/img1194xo.jpg/

Pros:
Interior is in great condition. No sagging headliner.
Motor is strong, and most of the maintenance has been done on time.
Paint looks great except for the hood and the fender.
I have a set of stock headlights and corner lights awaiting installation.
I was given a set of straight side skirts cover already primed.

Cons:
Paint is fading and chipping on the hood.
Driver side fender has some damage along with the side skirt.
Trunk wont open. (Anyone know how to fix this?)
1 piece headlights.
License plate light is out (the OBC is badass!!!)
Hood struts have given up.

Here are some parts that I need. Feel free to post or pm me with info/prices.
  • Ignition Lock Cylinder: 3232-1-093-266
  • Ignition Switch: 61-32-8-360925
  • Center Steering Lock Assembly: 3231-1-157967
  • Driver Side Fender (any color)
  • Fog Lights

With or w/o tires?

Not a fan of the boser hood, but I love your ti! Looks great.

With tires, whatever you see in the picture. I shipped my last 2 set of rims and they end up being like $40 a wheel to ship.

Ah, never mind then. Don't have that kind of money at the moment. My priorities has me focused on other things that needs fixing first. I'll let you know if the time is right for the rims if you still have them.

Wow that's a bit on the expensive side. Do they come in a set of 4 spacers? Or do I need to place 2 orders. And also, what rates do people usually run on fronts vs rears? I'm really interested in going with 30mm.

Oh do they now? lol. Funny thing is, it's very true. They do. But I'm trying to get her to sway away from chrome.

Just wondering, why don't you de-chrome your wheels? Powder coat them gun metal, or spray paint them yourself. It's a nice set of wheels you have that have good potential.

It's not worth the effort to me. Maybe some day when I'm desperate for the money from selling the wheels I'll be more motivated. But for now, I have neither the motivation, tools nor the work space to do that.
