It goes something like this: "Mopeds are like fat chicks, both fun to ride but don't let your friends catch you on one." Something along those lines. You can get what is meant. __________________ RIP Tonka Hitlerietta 08/03/04 - 01/25/05 | | | 09-21-2005, 09:08 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Wiltshire, UK Posts: 83 | I thought mopeds are only for kids? They are very popular with the 16year old's here who can't yet get a car licence. | | | 09-21-2005, 04:33 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | Honestly I would get a 250cc kawasaki ninja before a moped. They cost about $3,000 and are a good beginner bike. | | | 09-21-2005, 04:58 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Pomfret Ct Posts: 277 | Quote: Originally Posted by AlaskaBlue Honestly I would get a 250cc kawasaki ninja before a moped. It's awsome cause all my friend all hang out at this lake near to where we live. So i can go wakeboarding with out having to take my car down dirt roads. ps. girls love it | | | 09-21-2005, 06:23 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | Free is definately a good deal, and getting girls is also a good plus. I would imagine it has to do with the retro styling? Well I guess it would have been modern when it was made, but you get the idea. | | | 09-21-2005, 07:13 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | i used to have an aprilia rs50, to get myself acquainted with road riding (people really do stare right at you as they cut you off). i used to ride dirt bikes, so i wasn't a big change. a friend used to have an ex250, but i couldn't stand it. way too upright, and handled like a chubby girl. since i ultimately bailed on the rs250 i was looking at earlier, i'm now considering a cagiva mito since it would take less work to get it going. needle; where do you ride? i'm usually at candlewood a few days out of the year even though it's a zoo. right now my ride just sold his boat so i'm probably docked the rest of the season. also, i post under the same nick on wakeworld/wakeboarder.com __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 09-21-2005, 07:47 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Pomfret Ct Posts: 277 | Quote: Originally Posted by aceyx needle; where do you ride? i'm usually at candlewood a few days out of the year even though it's a zoo. right now my ride just sold his boat so i'm probably docked the rest of the season. also, i post under the same nick on wakeworld/wakeboarder.com | I ride on a small lake right near my house. It's about 2 miles long by a mile wide, but on weekday afternoons nobody is on it. A friend of mine lives on it and we ride behind his malibu. I'll try and get some pics. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
