Lightbulb Something I found out about the trunk lock

Hey guys.

Yesterday i found out something i didn't know yet. I always locked the doors from the inside, so that the central locks would activate and the trunk would be locked aswell. I did that to prevent someone from opening the trunk if I was standing still.

I found out that if you put the key in the trunk lock, turn it 90 degrees to the right, you can take your key out in that position and the trunk is locked.

Result: If the doors are opened with the central locking, the trunk stays closed!

Just a nifty thing for ppl that, like me, didnt know that yet.

Default

this is called deadlocking

key over to the far left ( or right if in Australia ) will unlock
middle lock with function to unlock from central locking module
key over to the far right will engage the dead lock.

this is also doable on the doors, and on latermodels activates the "comfort closure" function..

this means it will close all motorised windows and roof if key is held in deadlock position +5 seconds
