Default PSS vs. PSS9??

does a PSS9 kit really warrant $750 over a PSS kit?
anyone out there had both, at some point?
just curious...

If you want the adjustability, then yes, it is worth it. If you never plan on touching the adjustments on your suspension, then no, not worth it.

My understanding is that they are basically identical setups in terms of the performance of the system.

If you are planning to track your car, it is pretty nice to have the option of making the suspension less stiff for your daily drives, and then crank up the stiffness when you are at the track or auto-x.

For street purposes, I would recommend the PSS kit. We had it installed on our daily driver/shop car (E46 325) for roughly three years now (including Winter driving) and it is truly well engineered for the street; ie the spring rates, rebound and dampening are quite aggressive compared to a separate spring and damper upgrade but not harsh.

Cheers,
