Default Central locking problem...

May be a long shot but if anyone has any ideas i'd be very appreciative...

Here are the symptoms on my 7(or 8) of 1995 ti...

1. When using the key to lock the car via the rear hatch tumbler it always locks fine

2. When using the keyless entry remote the car locks and unlocks fine

3. When the car is locked with the keyless entry remote it unlocks fine via the key in the rear hatch tumbler

4. When the key is used to lock the car, whether in the door or rear hatch the rear hatch tumbler WILL NOT unlock the car (only the rear hatch unlocks)

5. Car locks and unlocks fine via either door tumbler

Heres what I have verified...

The General Module (or basic module, or ZKE IV, whatever you want to call it, behind the glovebox) is recieving proper voltage from the hatch lock actuator in all circumstances. Which in turn means that the hatch lock actuator is fine as well as the wires that connect it to the General Module. It seems that the general module is to blame as the correct voltage is not being transfered out of the module when the car fails to unlock as described above... Any ideas on what to try next???
