I just got done replacing the head, the car started but ran funny. then it just stopped. I am now flooding terribly in #2 and somewhat in 3 & 4.

Any Ideas?

Just for starters I have to ask the dumb questions:

1. Are you 100% sure it is fuel?

2. Year, Make, Engine Model?

from what i understand you can only flood if you aren't getting proper spark. Check your plugs and wires.

If you're even off a single tooth on the gear it can flood out!

Default Found the culprit!

Intake cam broke between 1st and 2nd lobe. Now the head has to come back off to replace the intakes in #4 as they are bent.

Well when I was tying to start the engine with the bad cam it took out the first jorunal on the lifter ledge on the intake cam side, $550.00 from new, so I ended up buying a used hed for the lifter ledge and used it instead of the reman head with the bent valves needing replaced( gonna replace them and have a good head sitting on the shelf in my shop. Since the wrecking yard emoved the head with out removing th cam I bolted it up and got it running yeaterday WOOO HOOOOO!.
Posished the timing chain cover anbd thermostat housing while I had them out.

Wow! Sounds like an ordeal. Glad you got her running and it's always nice to have spares ;-)
