Ive always thought the 318ti was a sexy car and finaly found one. 1998 318ti, dont know if its Sport or Active or any of that, not sure how to find out. Its a manual, has painted front spoiler, side skirts, and rear bumper, M3 wheels with 235/45/17 in the back and 215/45/17 in the front. SUPER CLEAN, no rust, interior looks NEW. It does have high miles though, 118,000, but the previous owner has all the service records back to 99, im only the third owner. I got it for $7,000. Is this a good deal? QUESTION-$5 grand to play with, Supercharger, clutch and exhaust, or 5grand worth of other things such as, Dinan intake, chip, Remus exhaust, H&R coil over suspension, Nitrous direct port, short shifter, custom sound, etc; | | | 03-13-2006, 09:22 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Welcome to the site and congrats on your purchase. I'd go for the Downing Atlanta S/C and exhaust with the money and if any left over some Bilisteins sports. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 03-14-2006, 02:25 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Norfolk, Virginia Posts: 289 | I dunno, im showing the car, HIN in Washington DC, some local shows stuff like that, so im kinda leaning towards the looks as well as the power which ill get from spraying the motor. | | | 03-14-2006, 04:44 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Williamsburg, VA Posts: 91 | Welcome Nick, I'm from Virginia as well. I'm with Tyler on this one. I would do a few basic suspension mods and next install a Downing Atlanta supercharger. For these cars, it's the best way to get reliable power and retain good driveability. Expensive, yes, but worth it if you have $5k at your disposal. FWIW, chips/software upgrades are a waste of money for all but the '95 ti's due to the OBD II. Exhaust upgrades do little-to-nothing in terms of performance as the ti came equipped with an excellent stock system. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
