I've been running Bridgestone Potenza RE950's and they're pretty good, although I don't have much to compare them to, so what do I know 225/50-16 I plan on buying some Fuzion ZRi's w/new wheels, when I have some cash. | | | 06-25-2005, 03:32 AM | #4 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | i have the RE950s too. i wouldn't get them again as a performance tire. pretty decent in rain and such though. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 06-25-2005, 03:32 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Michigan Posts: 169 | I'm also running Toyo Proxes T1-S 205/55/16 just got em so far so good, had BFgoodrich G-force KDW's also a great tire. vwt3 __________________ 95ti Alpine White, K&N cone filter, Fullcoilovers by GroundControl Koni adjustable,Eibach springs. I run them at autocross and on the street in a stock TI and I do pretty well.. the tires are amazing but very expensive.. my best experience is with the Falken Azenis for the best bang for the buck.. | | | 06-25-2005, 04:11 AM | #7 | islander on the mainland Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: SF Bay Area Posts: 286 | I've had Yokohama AVS ES100 and currently have Toyo Proxes T1-S tires. Both are really good tires and have the same treadwear rating (280), but I may go back to the AVS ES100s because their a little cheaper and perform about as well as the Proxes. __________________ moku 1996 318ti Cali Top w/ Downing/Atlanta Supercharger 2003 M3 w/ CSL trunk, splitters, & diffuser | | | 06-25-2005, 08:21 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Maryland, USA Posts: 678 | Yokohama AVS ES100s. 225/50/16s. Had em for almost 33000 miles (city/hightway, no track) and theyre coming up for replacement soon. Thinking of buying another set. Weighing the contenders but theyre quite good especially for their price. __________________ BostonGreen 97' w/ DASC & Technique Stage 1 software M3 front bumper. BavAuto Springs. I like them and I think they're pretty good. I'd get another set of these if these wear out. I've heard that Toyo Proxes are really good, but really expensive too. -Randy __________________ 97 Jet Black 318ti Sport. Not so stock anymore!....
