That might have been the first one Midnight something or another sold.

Haha, luckily I bought one of the last DASC kits from Understeer! It will arrive in two days!

wonder if they'll agree to rebuild the ones they already sold - once time comes?

I'm sure that Magnuson can still rebuild/repair existing Gen 3 MP62s, they're just not building any new ones.

True, the DASC supercharger uses a nose cone and elbow from a production vehicle, I want to say it's a Mercedes nose cone and a '95 ford lightning elbow. Someone at Magnuson would know, since DA got them from Magnuson.

The intake manifold is the big thing, get that and the other parts are easier to acquire.

Or, just swap an m52nv and turbo and get done with it.

Yeah, all about a $2k blower, threats, yada yada... Guess this really does answer my "swap or sc" dilemma...

Anyone got a m50 lying around?

Almost done installing the DASC. I'm on the last step... connecting all the little air hoses. Should be done tomorrow after work!

I was gonna get my mechanic to do it for me.. but how hard was it for you to do it on your own? and how much experience do you have working on cars?

thanks

It's really not all that hard. The instructions that came with it suck though. In my opinion it should have more picture to explain what they're talking about. Go for it if you feel confident enough. I estimate another 1-2 hours to be done with everything, total of 12 hours.

As far as my mechanical knowledge goes. I've done things from suspension swaps, to engine rebuilds.

I was really bummed to hear about this. I've thought about doing the DASC for years and I'm not sure if I was ever going to do it or not. Now that it's not going to be an option it's really pissing me off for some reason. I think it's partly because as the years are going by the few companies that bothered to make ti specific upgrades have stopped. From a business standpoint I can understand that, but it still sucks it.
