Default Injectors

Getting very close. I have a 328 engine that I am doing full OBD1 conversion. I have a 413 DME for an M50 with a Turner basic (stock) chip.

However I only have the M52 pink injectors.

Can I use these or will it run overly rich due to the DME wanting the green injectors?

Thanks!

Glenn

I'd say use the OEM but send them to www.fuelinjectorman, he's quick turn-around and cheap, they come back like brand new!

No need to downgrade, use the pink tops. It's an upgrade for most people to the pink instead of the green ones, and your DME will be able to adapt just fine.

Interesting, someone else on the www.bimmerforums.com web-site said they had problems running a stock M50 DME with the 21# injectors as it was running too rich. I think I'm going to go to 17# at least for start-up to rule out one possible item.

I was going to use the pink ones as trade-ins at http://danoperformance.com/, but maybe I'll just keep them, in case I want to go bigger in the future. I've had good luck with Dan in the past. Dan is shipping a set of cleaned / flow matched 17#s to me on Monday so I should be in good shape for start-up next weekend!

Thanks for the answers!
