Im hearing this strange almost rubbing noise from the rear of the car when moving slow (maybe i cant hear when fast because engine?), I dont hear it when idle im guessing its the LS diff, not sure. I uploaded the sound file here, you may have to turn up audio to really hear it , 10sec+ in sound file u can really hear it. http://kiwi6.com/file/p1d96xps09 (Click the listen play button below ad) Let me know, i was going to change the fluids soon in the diff also. | | | 04-10-2011, 04:06 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Sounds like brakes to me. Could be driveshaft bearing or wheel bearing too. __________________ No more ti. | | | 04-11-2011, 01:23 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nj Posts: 120 | Quote: Originally Posted by familytruckster Sounds like brakes to me. If something is dragging a little bit, or the rotors are slightly warped-they make noise. __________________ No more ti. | | | 04-14-2011, 02:20 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nj Posts: 120 | Replacing brakes may fix this? | | | 04-14-2011, 02:37 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 874 | i cant really hear the noise at all mayb cause wife and her friends are talking in back ground but still i had some noises coming from the rear and well after i changed brakes and rotors it got fixed.. it sounded like really nasty metal rubbing and it got worse as i pressed the brake slightly harder than usual and when braking going downhill | | | 04-14-2011, 02:40 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | ^That sounds kinda normal. Strips inside the torque head easily. | | | 06-10-2011, 04:40 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nj Posts: 120 | Well the noise still comes when rolling forward, after driving for 3/ min or so it goes away, strange | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
